A Frog in the Hand

a boy
who caught
a frog by the pond on
grandpa’s farm.  He giggled
as it kicked and squirmed for he
knew it could cause him no harm.
The Lord in heaven laughs at the man
who by his wisdom is caught
protesting and kicking
resisting the Hand
insisting that
God is


The fool  says in his heart, “There is no God.”  Ps 14:1
