In This Dark Day

a teaching rhyme
by JD Collier

in this dark day
of deep moral decay
when many from faith
have turned away
when greed and aggression
pound on the weak
leaders with power
deceivingly speak
confusing the good
with the workings of lust
changing belief
with each shifting wind gust
the norm—
to mindlessly follow the crowd
when excusing is easy
and much is allowed. . . .

live by faith
and watch your step
make the most
of each chance you get
for these are perilous times
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“So be careful how you live, not as fools but as those who are wise.  Make the most of every opportunity for doing good in these evil days.  Don’t act thoughtlessly, but try to understand what the Lord wants you to do.” Eph 5:15-17  NLT
