a teaching rhyme
by JD Collier

‘Man’ is not an experiment
to see if he can do,
a test to determine his true intent,
judged by peer review;
nor is he an object of malcontent
that others must control,
a weapon to use to fuel his ascent,
to reach for an unworthy goal.
‘Man’ is not a usurper of soul
with no meaningful intent,
nor is he a pawn in the circle of life
or a doomed experiment.
But ‘man’ is the glory of God’s right hand;
made from eternal glue—
and God has ordained
that His ‘man’ will remain . . .
when everything else falls through.

Ps 8:4-5
What is man, that Thou dost take thought of him?
And the son of man, that Thou dost care for him?
Yet Thou hast made him a little lower than God,
And dost crown him with glory and majesty!   NASB

2 Peter 3:12-13
That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.  But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.   NIV

Rev 21:3-5
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.  He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”  NIV
