in the beginning
God was
before any knowledge was known
no man to inquire
nor world to inspire
only God
no need to create
the seen or unseen
‘need’ is not part of His Name
wholly sufficient
the same

the maker
the made
I hold out my hand
for life
for breath
from birth
to death
in total dependence I stand
with this comprehension
in humble submission
I bow—
for I am His
and know that I
must fully rely
on Him—
the One
who Is

~JD Collier

“. . . you thought that I was altogether like you.”  Ps 50:21

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand . . .” 1 Peter 5:6 NIV

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
“Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?”
“Who has ever given to God,
that God should repay him?”
For from him and through him and to him are all things.
To him be the glory forever!
Rom 11:33-36 NIV
