Holy Parade

I watched as a parade went by.
The lead had a standard and waved.
The standard was the Cross of Christ
and a banner read “Mighty to Save”.

A censer followed behind the lead;
the incense filled the air.
Spreading good cheer they marched and sang
around the village square.

I pondered as I watched them pass;
contemplating the words they sang.
“On Christ the solid rock I stand”.
The bells of the corner church rang.

I noticed as they marched along
that some turned up noses with sneers,
while others raised their hands in praise;
clapping with hollers and cheers.

Again I pondered at what I’d seen,
then I understood the cleft.
Some had caught the fragrance of life,
while others the smell of death.

A sight to take your breath away!  Grand processions of people telling all the good things of God!
Romans 10:15 The Message

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.  For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.  To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life.
